Squirrels

Squirrels, when offered the opportunity will create a home in your roof. You may already have this concern with noise in your attic at dawn or dusk, insulation being pulled out or increased interest in your structure.

Able to easily chew directly through roofs, squirrel entry points leave your home and building vulnerable to water ingress and access for other animals. Once inside, their nesting and food storage activities damage infrastructure, creates debris fecal waste, and a potential fire hazard.

The good news is that you can enjoy squirrels on your property without having them in your roof. Our team understands squirrel behavior and activity patterns, and is trained to find the presence of babies. We will conduct a thorough inspection to pinpoint access points, structural deficiences and whether an active nest is onsite. We will seal all but one access point, installing one-way doors to ensure squirrels exit without re-entry.

Recognizing the persistent nature of squirrels, especially in chewing through wood and returning to the same nest site to birth young, our approach goes beyond sealing current access points. We fortify entire roofs, providing a comprehensive solution that will last for years. That is why our work is backed by our multi-year warranties.

Both the black and grey squirrels seen in the Lower Mainland are colour variations of the Eastern grey squirrel which is invasive to the area having been introduced from Eastern Canada and USA in 1909.
